Yes, one C18 HPLC Column can work in Reverse Phase, Normal Phase and Aqueous Normal Phase...efficiently and reversibly.
Many of our customers were surprised to learn that there are HPLC Columns that can give them such a wide range of selectivity and usefulness. The Cogent TYPE-C brand of columns (first in class) are the only HPLC columns that can do this. What is even better is that there is no hysteresis when changing from mode to mode. This can be accomplished very fast.

Aqueous Normal Phase-
Retain in Normal Phase with Reverse Phase Solvents.

Polar and Non PolarBetter than a HILIC mode, Aqueous Normal Phase (ANP) will retain polar and non polar compounds in the same run; Isocratically.

Glyburide is very non polar (logP >3) and Metformin is highly polar (logP <-1.0) but both are retained in two different isocratic runs.

Vary the concentration and change the RT.
