Suburban Promised Land  is a 10 year-effort by Soweto West Press and the Historical Society of Oak Park and RiverForest to chronicle the rich history of people of color in Chicago's western suburbs. The book is co-authored by Stan West, Peggy Tuck Sinko, Frank Lipo and Yves Hughes, Jr.
