INAUGURATION CELEBRATION & SALE

In honor of the historic inauguration of Barack Obama as our 44th President Ridge Art is having a celebratory sale at the gallery starting banneron Friday, January 16, 6-9 pm. The sale will continue on Saturday, January 17, 12-5 pm, and Sunday, January 18, 1-5 pm. Everything in the gallery will be 30% off including all the metal sculpture.
 
In addition to the discounts on Ridge Art's inventory, the gallery will also be featuring the liquidation of the entire inventory of El Coqui Gifts. El Coqui's inventory includes very fine quality Mata Ortiz potterypottery, Shipibo vases, Costa Rican Guanacaste regional ceramics, masks from various Latin American countries, silver jewelry, fine Damascene jewelry from Spain, quality molas by Panama's Kuna Indians and much more.

LECTURE AT THE OAK PARK PUBLIC LIBRARY

Ridge Art owner Laurie Beasley will be speaking at the Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake Street, on Thursday, January 15, in the Veterans' Room. The title of her talk is "Adventures in Haitian Art and Other Stories." The event will open with coffee and refreshments at 9:30 am and the talk will begin at 10:30 am. The lecture is sponsored by the Oak Park-River Forest Community Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago and is free and open to the general public.
