August was an exciting month for The Bahamas! The 2009 Miss Universe pageant was hosted on Paradise Island at the Atlantis Resort and brought unprecedented publicity for our country with its coverage of the entire Bahamas. Now, even though September upon us and children returning to school, it still feels like summer - with the hot and beautiful weather we're known for.

ITV (UK) and Sir Trevor McDonald Visit One of Our Private Island Listings

ITV (UK) recently produced a 3-part series with Part 1 airing Sunday, June 28, 2009. Sir Trevor McDonald visited a few choice spots in the Caribbean, including Harbour Island here in The Bahamas. He ended the final segment by admiring firsthand Carrington Cay, a private island for sale with our own Vice President, John Christie.

HGChristie agent & appraiser, Janet Watts from our Exuma office was able to make a donation of our red company bags on behalf of H.G. Christie Ltd. to the local Nelson A. Ranger Golf Camp. Nelson A. Ranger said, "What a wonderful time we had in the first ever Nelson A. Ranger Golf Camp. The kids were excited....I was amazed at how talented they all were, it was as if they'd played golf before!"

We're glad to hear that fun was had by all the summer camp's attendees!
