Thoughts on Google Plus for the Wedding Industry |
From Think Splendid®, the blog of Splendid Communications, a digital marketing agency focused on the wedding industry. After playing with Google's new social media platform, Google Plus, for a bit, here are some initial thoughts: Google Plus has the potential to be a game-changer but it's not there yet. Everyone thought that Froogle was going to change online shopping forever, but it didn't. Yet, people moved their email from AOL to Hotmail to Gmail, so Facebook being big isn't enough of a reason to deter people from switching social networks. MySpace was also huge and everyone claimed the masses wouldn't move to Facebook, yet they did. Currently, Google Plus reminds me of Facebook circa 2006 -- it's clean, it's peaceable, it's private. Whether or not it stays that way remains to be seen. *The Wedding Report 2010*
These numbers don't add up to 100% because now, more than ever, brides are using MULTIPLE resources to plan their wedding. The more of those resources you can tap into, the more business you will book. It's that easy! Here's how to make it all work for you...
step 1: Create an operating budget for your company.
step 2: Determine your advertising budget.
step 3: Collect data and information and look for the advertising and marketing companies that can give you the greatest exposure at a reasonable rate.
step 4: Create a marketing plan based on your research.
step 5: Optimize every angle of that plan.
step 6: Let your marketing plan work for you and when done well, watch your revenue go up |

Thanks for these great newsletters! I'm just wondering if I could get some more copies of the latest Perfect Wedding Guide magazine. My brides really like them, and I've given all that I had away, which was a lot.
