Bridal Show Recap |
Thank you to all who participated in the July 17th PWG Bridal Show at the beautiful NC A&T Alumni Foundation Event Center. We had a record turnout for this show with 199 brides and approximately 500 attendees plus the vendors.
During each show we ask the brides to complete a survey. Of course, not all brides will do this but we thought you might like to read the responses to a couple of questions.
How many professionals did or will you book as a result of the PWG Bridal Show? 53 brides responded stating they did or will be making 145 bookings from the show. This averages out to 2.74 wedding professionals booked by each of the 53 brides. Just think, if this number were to hold true for the 199 brides in attendance that would mean a possibility of 545.26 bookings for this show. If you were there how many of the 545.26 wedding bookings would have been yours? # of brides wanting more of the following types of vendors: Bachelorette 1 Bridal Shops 4 Cakes 1 Florists 4 Hair 2 Makeup 1 Officiants 1 Planners 2 Travel Agents 1 Wedding Bands/Rings 1 Venues 5

8 Tips for Writing an Effective, Friendly Wedding Contract |
by Dina Eisenberg A contract is not what you think. Sure you've probably signed countless contracts over the years. Buying your first home. Getting your car. Working with a web designer. And certainly you've signed contracts with your brides. Yes, a contract is a binding agreement between two or more people, an exchange of money for value. However, your contract can be so much more. But before we get to that, let's discuss what you're contract is not. Your contract is not a shield... Read the full article here.

Pepsi Looses "Top of Mind" and Pays the Price | |
As seen in The Wall Street Journal on June 28, 2011:
The snack-food and beverage giant is launching the first new advertising campaign for its flagship Pepsi-Cola in three years after it sank trailing not only Coke but Diet Coke.
PepsiCo focused too much on redesigning Pepsi's logo and the Refresh Project instead of spending money on more traditional advertising.
Now PepsiCo will spend 30% MORE on advertising to try and recapture what they have lost.

Advertising keeps you top of mind. With brides and vendors utilizing print materials, not once or twice, but multiple times, you can keep your company name and image in front of brides and wedding professionals. If you include advertising, online listings, working leads, bridal shows and networking to your complete marketing campaign and you have quality services/products, customer service and competitive pricing, you won't be able to help but bring business in!

Thank you!!!! :) The show was awesome, and I'm excited. I've already made 3 consultation appointments from it, which is great. Lisa Simply Southern Photography
GREAT SHOW this past weekend!! One of my brides can't stop talking about it! The groom asked if there was any way you could send me a copy of the floorplan from the event. He met a lot of GREAT vendors and really wants to follow up with a few of them.
