Facebook Updates |
Pages Redesign
The new Pages design launched 2/11 as a preview for Facebook Page admins. Before switching, you can check to see what your page will look like and tweak elements of the design before launch. The company is also releasing a manual to explain the new design. Admins will have until March 10 to switch over though, before Facebook automatically updates every page to the new design.
The new features in the redesign will give Pages more exposure and are likely to drive higher user engagement through new notification features (you won't miss out on comments made).
For a breakdown of what the new design and feature changes mean, check out this article.
Changes to the News Feed
Facebook recently made some changes to only show pages or friends that you visit regularly in your news feed. This is a little strange for a social networking site, because now if you have a friend you never see you'll never get their news.
You may be missing Triad/Triangle Perfect Wedding Guide in your news feed too - oh no! To fix that:
1. Go to your news feed and click on "Most Recent"
2. At the bottom of the drop down, click on Edit options 3. Select to show posts from all of your friends and pages.
If there are pages/friends you don't want to see you can add those in too or click hide as you come across them on the news feed. Now you should be all set to get the latest news from PWG and find out when your old college roommate is getting married.

How to Integrate Facebook into Your Website
How do you get visitors on your website to know about your Facebook page? You can embed a Live Stream/Like Us box on your home page.
Even though it is called the Like "Button", it is quite capable of performing a lot of social networking weight in your blog or web page. The Like box is a Facebook Connect enabled social widget that Page owners can add to their websites to allow visitors to 'like them' and view the accompanying Facebook Page stream.
1. Go to your Facebook Page
2. Click "Edit Page" (top right)
3. Click "Marketing"
4. Click "Add A Like Box to your Website"
5. Type in the URL of your Facebook page 6. Edit other settings to your preference 7. Click "Get Code" 8. Copy and paste code into the BODY tags of your website

Triad & Triangle's Most Intimate & Elegant Bridal Shows | Are you looking to put yourself face to face with brides in 2011?
Sunday, April 3, 2011 Marriott Crabtree Valley Raleigh, NC Early Bird Discount expires 3/3 Sunday, May 15 Benton Convention Center Winston-Salem, NC Sunday, July 17 NC A&T Alumni Event Center Greensboro, NC Everything on our end was a great success - we talked to lots of brides and got lots of leads. Kudos to you and your staff! S.M., Bella Wedding & Event Planning
Excellent number of brides to chat with! I had enough time to spend with each bride. I really liked the vendor's refreshment area. Very professional look and feel atmosphere of the show! I loved having the help to load and unload at the loading dock! We will most definitely book business from this show and participate again. Keep up the great work Perfect Wedding Guide staff, you rock! M. C., Flowers by Gary I like the over all ease of doing the show, from the help unloading the cars to the informal modeling (it was so much easier than a fashion show and more personal). The setting was very elegant and your staff was wonderful. Very attentive to our needs. I think the brides felt more relaxed, and we noticed a friendly atmosphere. I didn't expect as many brides, as you had. The quality was good. Most of the brides had [next year] weddings and were receptive to our advice. Thank you. J.M., Bridal Mart
