Rycroft burst onto the scene in 2006 as a contestant on the CMT reality series Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team. She later joined the cast of the thirteenth season of ABC's The Bachelor. In 2009, she replaced Nancy O'Dell, host of Access Hollywood, on the eighth season of ABC's Dancing with the Stars after O'Dell sufered a knee injury. Rycroft and partner, dancer Tony Dovolani, finished third. Rycroft appeared in People magazine's World's Most Beautiful People 2009 issue, and was also ranked #99 on Maxim magazine's Hot 100 of 2009 list.

Rycroft is currently set to marry Tye Strickland, an insurance agent from Texas, in December 2009 and will be joining the cast of Good Morning America as a special correspondent.
