 News Of The Green
San FranciscoGreen Office,
Green City

From 2001's celebrated solar energy initiative to last year's banning of styrofoam takeout containers, San Francisco has been no slouch when it comes to doing the right thing. But our hometown just got greener!

Last week, mayor Gavin Newsom issued an executive order for all city departments to purchase only 100% recycled office paper, and reduce overall paper use by 20% over the next year and a half. Combined with the other 9 cities and counties in California that have made similar pledges, this seemingly simple purchasing policy is slated to save 67,000 trees a year.

Imagine what could happen if we all made the switch! Webinar Series

Featured Product
The Biodegradable BiobagBiobags On Sale!

This month's featured product is the Biobag waste can liner. What better way to kick off your spring cleaning than with a thick stack of biodegradable trash bags? Biobags feel like plastic and are shelf-stable, but once they're in a compost pile, they decompose at roughly the same speed as a zucchini, leaving behind no harmful residues. They come in a variety of sizes, and for the rest of March we're selling them at an earth- and wallet-friendly 10% off.
