February 2012

Helena Montana

Greetings!

My oldest son was born in February. When I think of February in Montana, I can't help but to remember that February in 2003 when Helena recieved record-breaking snow.

That winter my husband and sister got to enjoy Helena's Great Divide Ski Area for a few hours every day without me.  I sure hope that another great snow storm awaits our capital city this February so the whole family can make some fresh turns.

Great Divide Ski Area

Ski Great Divide

The Great Divide Ski Area is located just outside of Helena.  It has a quaint local feel and also boasts 140 trails and five terrain parks spread out over three mountain peaks and three distinct valleys on an area covering 1600 acres and three miles from end-to-end.

The Great Divide always seems to have a special event this time of year - as any good ski area should!  Friday is Girl's Fun Day and Saturday has been dubbed "Sleep-In Saturday."  There's usually a band some time on the weekend, a winter fire and a great time.  For the most current conditions and an update on the Great Divide's events, visit their web site
