Click here to listen to this miraculous, true story, that took place on my front porch last month, as it aired on KTIS just before Christmas.
Hello friends and MtM supporters,
I figured in order to make this qualify as a "New Years" card I better get this off to you BEFORE the end of January. :) I just got off the phone with my husband, Nathan. He is bracing himself for the predicted negative 57 degree wind chill on the North Eastern Montana Plains tonight. He is on hitch there with a drilling company. As I talked with him, the heat in our house, was set, as usual, at a balmy 74. Just like I like it. I asked him before he got off the phone if he has thought of me much the last day or so. He replied, "I think of you pretty much all the time. When I am tired, spent and cold to the bone you are my reason to get up and get back to work." He said, he thinks constantly of me and the kids and the life we are working to build together. Somehow, that sounds familiar to me.
Yes. I meant this to be a New Years card, but with what Nathan just said, now I can't help but reflect on Christmas and all it means. Most likely you have already de-treed your house and packed away all your Christmas trappings. Even so, let's take a minute to unwrap one last Christmas gift. When I think about how Jesus left heaven to come here to earth. How he laid down his rightful place with angels revering Him to throw in his lot with the rest of us - to be teased on the playground, skin his knees, and later to lay down his life in a grueling death. Well, like Nathan, I think Jesus thought of us pretty much constantly. WE ARE HIS REASON to GIVE His ALL for us. To show us the faithful love of our Father and to pay our debt. Like my husband, Jesus sacrificed, and laid down his rights to make it all right, and He THOUGHT of YOU AND I when he did it. Wow. I am blessed. To have a husband like Nathan, yes - and also to know a savior who is alive and well, and giving His all to reach each of us even today and thinking of us all the while! Like I said, I just wanted to send a quick little note here to wish you a late Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I would also, like to relay to you again how much I appreciate your support for me and for More than Music Inc. Thank you.
As I begin to prepare here for our year-end board meeting I am overjoyed to reflect on last years' accomplishments. Did you know that More than Music has raised $40,000 NET for worthy causes just since 2010? Just gettin' started! Did you know, that the music we create has aired on over 500 radio stations, in more than 30 countries? Did you know, that Spoken Radio and TV broadcasts have aired to hundreds of thousands now in at least 6 countries that I know of. Did you know, that More than Music has put on over 60 concerts in Detention and drug rehab facilities in the last few years, and that we have received a response from hundreds of kids who have accepted Christ and invited Him to guide their lives as a result. All of this just confirms that we are on the right track and are making an impact in our community for good. It's a huge team effort at this point and I am overjoyed as I look to this next year and all the growth that is on it's way. There are great things in store!
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these John 14:11
I pray the Spirit of giving not only visits us during the holidays but also the whole year through. May your year show the promise of even greater things than you have thus far known in your life! Go on - do it! Dare to dream! And hey, while you chase your dream...remember to think of Him too. You know, the one who thought of you and gave His all. Sincerely,
Stephanie Pauline
