Republican Christmas Party And Other Events
December 22nd - Republican Christmas Party:
On Thursday, December 22nd, starting at 6:00 P.M., the Alachua County Republican Party will be hosting its annual Christmas Party at it's headquarters (1772 NW 80th Blvd, Suite 90).
The Alachua County Republican Christmas Party is a potluck event. Everybody usually brings something to share (a pie, cookies, soda, eggnog, etc). If you can, that would be great. If you can't, please bring yourself and enjoy in the fun.
If you need suggestions on something to bring, or would like to RSVP, please call Delena at 352-316-0151 or email us at contactus@alachuarepublicans.com.
We expect most of our Alachua County Commission candidates and the Gainesville City Commission candidates that are registered Republican to be in attendance, so it will be a great opportunity to meet and greet with them and to get to know them.
In fact, this year's Christmas Party is dedicated to all of those commission candidates - our happy warriors that are preparing to head in to electoral battle in 2012. They are our special guests.
Jan 24th - Political Party Presentation at The Village:
If you live in The Village retirement community in Gainesville, on January 24th at 2:00 P.M. Stafford Jones, of the Republican Party and Jon Reiskind, of the Democratic Party will be giving a presentation on party politics, party structure and answering questions about candidates and the parties.
It will be open to residents of The Village.
Jan 26th - REC Business Meeting and Government Gone Wild:
On January 26th, we will be holding our next regular business meeting. The main program for that meeting will be a Government Gone Wild!, presentation, by the Government Gone Wild man, himself, our friend, Blaise Ingoglia.
The meeting will be at the usual meeting place, the FOP Lodge, at 7:00 P.M.
January 31st - Election Day! On January 31st, the polls open at 7:00 on the morning, in the City of Gainesville, for the Gainesville City Commission elections, and they open, countywide, for the Republican Presidential Preference Primary. If you have any questions about your polling place, absentee ballots, updating your absentee ballot signature or any other voting questions, please call the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections at 352-374-5252, or click here to visit their website. |
