Thank You!

Since the economy forced us to make a change in Black Tie and Blue Jeans, this year, just a few people have asked for a refund.

For all of you donors that said this was more about supporting the party than anything else, thank you, so much.

Black Tie and Blue Jeans has been and always will be a great event.  It's main purpose is to help fund the party and its headquarters operation for next year.

We have some great candidates on the ticket for next year, including Dean Cheshire, Brandon Kutner, John Martin, Walt Boyer, Jean Calderwood, Darlene Pifalo, Donna Lutz, Adam Hasner, George LeMieux and Mike McAlister, not to mention an eventual Republican Presidential Nominee.

Our headquarters is where people will come to pick up signs and bumper stickers to display for these candidates.  Our headquarters is where the volunteers will come to make the 80,000 phone calls that we will make in 2012, and where we will meet to have coffee and donuts before heading out on Saturday morning neighborhood walks.  We have to keep the phone lines and the phone system running and the lights turned on.  The computers, printers and copiers have to stay running, and the internet connection has to stay turned on so that we can have access to the RNC Voter Vault so that we can provide walk lists and call lists for candidates.

The Obama economy is wreaking havoc in so many ways, and it has been a great blessing to have so many great people continue to support the party.

Thank you!

Adam HasnerAdam Hasner is lifelong Republican deeply committed to limited government, free markets, American values and a strong national defense.

Adam was first elected in 2002 to serve as a part-time state legislator representing Palm Beach and Broward Counties. Serving alongside Marco Rubio in the Florida House for six years, in 2007, Adam was selected by then-Speaker Rubio to serve as Majority Leader for the Republican caucus, a position he held for four years until being term limited from office in 2010.

In 2009, Adam fought against the impacts of the federal stimulus and successfully rejected nearly $500 million in unemployment funds that would have resulted in a tax increase for Florida businesses.

In 2010, well before the issue became part of national headlines, Adam led the House Republicans in demanding the United States Congress pass a balanced budget amendment to the U.S. Constitution, and then served as the founding national Co-Chairman of the citizen action group, Pass The Balanced Budget Amendment.
