What Will Ted Nugent Talk About?

Well, Ted Nugent is a passionate conservative.  You can't mistake him for anything else.

So, what will Ted talk about at Black Tie and Blue Jeans?  Who knows, but it promises to be colorful and exciting.

Mmmm!  Moonbats Taste Like Chicken!

(The 2011 Black Tie and Blue Jeans BBQ Radio Commercial)

Barking MoonbatPart of the fun of Black Tie and Blue Jeans is creating and releasing the radio and television advertisement.  Our 2010 radio spot actually won a Pollie award.

The commercials are always a little snarky and always a little irreverent, and we think we have lived up to that reputation, again.

The radio commercials should start running on stations throughout North Florida on Tuesday.  The companion TV spots will start about a week later.

Mmmm.  Moonbats taste like chicken!

The Alachua County Republican Party has aimed to set itself apart by bringing in interesting and exciting speakers. Oliver North and Laura Ingraham it has been our goal to set the standard for exciting and innovative speakers.  The Ronald Reagan Black Tie and Blue Jeans BBQ is one of the largest annual Republican events in the State.

In keeping with that goal, we are proud to announce that our keynote speaker for the 9th Annual Ronald Reagan Black Tie and Blue Jeans BBQ will be The Motor City Madman, Uncle Ted:  TED NUGENT!

Throughout his lengthy career, legendary guitarist, Ted Nugent, has reveled in the criticism that always seems to come from his patriotic straight-talk. While there's no denying his exceptional talent on the six-string, his knack for penning arena rock anthems, or his standing as one of rock's top live acts, it's his non-musical endeavors that have caused the most consternation from his detractors (his conservative beliefs and his 2nd Amendment advocacy). But by the same token, Nugent is a family man and one of the few hard rockers who has admirably stuck by his lifelong anti-drugs and anti-drink stance throughout his career.

Ted doesn't just limit himself to music and hunting, he's very outspoken when it come to other issues that hit close to home including politics, the Second Amendment and crime.

He's received the James Fenimore Cooper Award for his many accomplishments in the field of writing and for his amazing work promoting American hunting and outdoor heritage. His top rated show on Outdoor Channel, Ted Nugent Spirit of the Wild, is the four-time winner of the People's Choice Best Hunting Show Golden Moose Award. The North American Hunting Club named Ted the #1 Hunt Partner and he's the winner of the first-ever ATV Image Award. It was presented to Ted by ATV Industry Magazine in 2004 for his commitment to outdoor life, hunting and recreation.

At 61, Ted has no plans of slowing down.  Ted's a loving husband to his wife Shemane and a devoted father to his daughters Starr and Sasha and sons Toby and Rocco.

As busy as he is, he's doing what he loves. Ted said it best, "I really have the American dream licked."

Grand Opening of New Alachua County Republican Headquarters!

The Alachua County Republican Party is in the process of setting up its new headquarters at 1722 NW 80th Blvd.  That is in the business park off of Ft. Clarke Blvd in Gainesville.

We are really excited about our new HQ.  It has plenty of work space for our phone banking programs, plenty of offices and plenty of storage, but the best part is that it puts us within a stone's throw of Alachua County's greatest concentrations of Republicans.  Legacy, Paddock Club, Eagle Point, Broadmoor, Meadowbrook Golf Course, Hills of Santa Fe, Brookfield, Chelsea Lane, Oak Crest, Haile Plantation, Suburban Heights, Town of Tioga and all of Jonesville are within 2 to 5 minutes of our new headquarters.  Newberry and Archer, to the West, and and the other communities in Gainesville District 2 to the east are just a few minutes away.

On October 27th, starting at 6:00 P.M., we will be hosting a grand opening reception and open house.  Please come by.

Sound System For Black Tie and Blue Jeans

Canterbury Equestrian Showplace is a great venue, but also a very challenging environment to set up a sound system for, and we have BTBJ Crowda great company and great partners in Tom Collett and TDC Entertainment in providing a great sound system and great, professional service.
Still, last year we got caught a little flat footed when Neal Boortz wanted to use a lapel microphone.  We just couldn't boost the sound enough without getting audio feedback.
For Ted Nugent, this year, the ACREC and TDC Entertainment are committed to making sure that we have the best sound system we have ever had.
