In place of the June 23rd regular business meeting, the Alachua County Republican Party will be holding its Delegate Selection Caucus for Presidency 5.
  
There will be social with food and drinks at 6:00 P.M., and the Delegate Selection Caucus will begin promptly at 7:00 P.M.
  
This will be held at our headquarters at 1210 North Main Street in Gainesville.

You Have Until Midnight, Tonight, To Register For The Republican Party of Florida's Presidency 5 Convention and Straw Poll

 

The Republican Party of Florida is hosting Presidency 5, a convention event with a Presidential straw poll and a live, Fox News television debate on September 22nd, 23rd and 24th in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center.  All Republicans (registered before February 1st, 2011) are eligable to apply.  There is a $175 fee, if you are chosen as a delegate and $125 if you are chosen as an alternate.

 

Presidency 5 is an opportunity for you to help Florida in the process of picking a Republican Presidential nominee.

 

 

To Apply To Be A Presidency 5 Delegate:

If you are interested in being a delegate to Presidency 5, then you must apply online at http://www.presidency5.com by June 10th.

 

 

Alachua County Delegate Selection: 

Alachua County is alloted 32 Delegates and 6 Alternates.  The Delegate Selection Caucus for Alachua County will be held on Thursday, June 23rd, 2011 at the Alachua County Republican Headquarters (1210 North Main Street in Gainesville).  We will enjoy a social hour with food and drink at 6:00 P.M. and the delegate selection process will begin promptly at 7:00 P.M.  There are some important rules to remember about the Delegate Selection Process:

 

Rule 1:

You must have been registered as a Republican in the State of Florida before February 1st, 2011.

 

Rule 2:

You must apply by 11:59 P.M. on June 10th, 2011.  Please visit http://www.presidency5.com to apply.

 

Rule 3:

You must be in attendance at the June 23rd Delegate Selection Caucus.  If your name is drawn as either a delegate or alternate, but you are not in attendance, then your name will be set aside and another name will be drawn in your place (no exceptions). 

 

Rule 4:

If your name is drawn and you are in attendance, you must be remit your delegate fee ($175) or alternate delegate fee ($125) that evening.  If you are chosen, but are not able to remit the fee, then your name will be set aside and someone else will be

chosen in your place (no exceptions).
