Elections Today In Gainesville and Newberry

Your Vote CountsToday in Gainesville, it's time for you Republicans that live in districts 2 and 3 (NW and SW Gainesville) to go vote.  The rest of us are counting on YOU.  Polls are open from 7 A.M. until 7 P.M.  Please go vote for Rob Zeller, in district 3, and Todd Chase, in district 2.

You residents of Newberry have a similar opportunity.  You have city commission and mayoral elections today.  Please go to your polling place (the Newberry fire station) and vote for Bill Conrad for Mayor of Newberry.

Even if you can't vote, please pick up the phone and call 5 people that you know that might live in those districts and ask them to go vote.

If you want, call us and we will give you 5 names (with phone numbers) for you to call.  Really, it's easy, it won't take long, and it is an investment in your future.  Call us at 352-275-5003.
Would You Like Some Cheese With That Whine?

Througout this election cycle, we have learned a great deal about who Susan Bottcher is, no matter how hard she has tried to hide it.  According to her Walden Group website, she is a professional lobbyist and progressive political consultant, and she says that she is for neighborhoods, all the while telling the neighborhood folks affected by Cabot-Koppers to get shovels and go clean it up themselves.

Now, Bottcher is crying foul because people are talking about who she is. Check out this link to an online Gainesvill Sun article.

Maybe Susan Bottcher should spend less time trying to hide who she is and whining and more time showing some empathy for the real problems in Gainesville.

Susan Bottcher's "We're Not Wrong", The Remix

The last video wasn't a hit with Susan Bottcher and her friends.  If she

didn't like that one, she is absolutely going to hate this one.

This election is serious business.  In Gainesville, we can keep taking the same stuff from these people, or we can do something about it.

It's time to do something about it.

The Pirate Party!

The Alachua County Republican Party is proud to announce a grand summer event.

Pirate FlaggOn Saturday, May 7th, we are hosting a Pirate Party in honor Alachua County's most prolific pillagers and plunderers, Mike Byerly, Paula DeLaney and Rodey Long.  We doubt that they will show up, but we are going to honor The Taxing Three for their ability to simultaneously tax us into oblivion and create a $400 million road repair deficit at the same time.

The Pirate Party is going to be a fish fry with a live band, tea, beer and wine and is going to be held at the beautiful Prarie Creek Lodge east of Micanopy.  Adult tickets are $25 and child tickets (15 year or under) are $10.  You can get tickets by contacting the Alachua County Republican Executive Committee at 352-373-8500 or going to Beaty Restaurant Equipment and Supplies at 1206 North Main Street in Gainesville.  Tickets will also go on sale, very soon, on our website.
