NC Division of Waste Management Updates Their Risk, Rank, and Abatement Scores for Commercial USTs

As of May 1st, 2012, releases from Commercial USTs that have an Intermediate Risk, Rank and Abatement score of 125 and above are required to proceed with necessary clean-up activities. This score has been dropped down from the previous minimum of 150. Any commercial UST releases that score above that number need to proceed with a plan to clean up their site.  This would remind business owners to check their scores.  Pyramid is here to help if you need to re-evaluate your site!

What is Mobile Multi-Phase Extraction (MMPE), and How Can it Help ME?

Pyramid Can Effectively Help You Remediate Your Site Quickly and Efficiently with MMPE!

Pyramid has recently been implementing Mobile Multi-Phase Extraction (MMPE) events as a first order, rapid remediation technique for contaminated groundwater.  MMPE operation involves the extraction of subsurface vapors and liquids from monitoring well(s) or recovery wells through a high-pressure vacuum system.  Extracted liquids are collected in a tanker and safely moved off-site for disposal.

Multiple MMPE events can provide for interim free product abatement measures, and may be a cost effective alternative to installing and operating a full scale remediation system for a short period of time.   MMPE can be used for removal of large quantities of contaminated groundwater. In some cases, a single use of our MMPE system can reduce contamination levels below State standards for No Further Action.  Following the event, more traditional remediation measures may be needed to fully clean up the site.  However, the rapid and cost-effective MMPE method results in less time performing additional remediation procedures at a lower cost.

Contact us today if you have any additional questions or would like to receive more information about MMPE.

Pyramid will be exhibiting at the following conferences this month, stop by and see us!
