I played golf last week and was having a
tough time off the tee. I pulled out my old
standby (a TM Burner with a red Voodoo) got
in a groove and really started smoking it off
the tee. I'm waiting for some R9 sleeves to
try the new green NV Voodoo, lower launch and
spin should give me a bit more roll out.
We'll see what happens and report back. I'm
offering free shipping to lower 48 on the
Green and Red Voodoo. Great time to try one out.
Info on the Voodoo follows:
What sets the VooDoo apart from other shafts is its patent pending S-core, or stabilized core, Technology designed to increase distance and provide outstanding accuracy with each swing. The real "magic" of the VooDoo is the high modulus carbon stabilization rib running the length of the shaft. "Our S-core Technology dramatically stabilizes the shaft's cross-section through the use of an internal carbon-fiber rib system," said John Oldenburg, Aldila's Vice President of Engineering. "The innovative rib structure increases hoop strength/stiffness so much that it is 80 percent greater than conventional graphite, and up to 60 percent greater than competitors' attempts at cross sectional stabilization." Visit the Aldila Voodoo Web Site here http://aldilavoodoo.html . About another week left in the UST Proforce
AXIVcore sale. Save $50 on the UST AXIV
Black, Red, or Green series (reg. $140) and
22% off on the Blue.
I'm also including a really nice matching UST
Mamiya grip. The grip is the new Comp SC
series
http://www.ustmamiya.com/golf_grips/products.aspx?id=2
The graphics on the shaft are black with
gold/silver logos, a small silver band, then
a really sharp gold/yellow (sort of a
dandelion yellow like my front lawn) and the
new grip matches the shaft perfectly, which
is tough to do! Great job from UST.
Don't miss out on this chance to save a ton on the AXIVcore shaft series, there's a model for any swing in this excellent shaft line. |

Great looking new shaft line from our friends
at Matrix called Radix HD.
Here's the skinny from Matrix:
Unlike conventional designs, which do not
increase tip stiffness as butt stiffness is
increased, the RADIX HD introduces a unique
design that guarantees the same tip-to-butt
stiffness ratio throughout the flexes. Since
the ratio remains intact, ball flight is
progressively flattened as the overall flex
stiffens.
The "HD" Design refers to the hexadecagonal (16-sided) internal platform on which the designs are built. HD allows for new levels of structural strength. Peek into the shaft and you can see this unique 16 sided design, really cool. I love the shaft color on the Radix. The brilliant blue takes me back to my first car..a hot Plymouth Duster in the exact same color. Great looking Matrix logo/graphics, too. I just might have it in the bag this weekend, a certain Mr. Pete Smith might take note and beware. Matrix has taken some of their most complex shaft technology from their premium HD Ozik line and packaged the new Radix HD with a mid-price point. They're also developing a new Radix iron called Program, watch for details here soon. |

Harrison has a new shaft out called Eclipse.
I spoke to Mike at Harrison and he tells me
the Eclipse features the same dynamic flex
profile as the Saga, but was designed
especially for extra distance. The Eclipse
also features Harrison's renewed focus on
graphic design/colors with this great looking
new shaft. I've got a few in R flex coming
and the rest of the flexes should arrive in a
week or two. Price is $97.50, I'll offer free
shipping. For specs/pics

What's in the Bag-looks like this week's Verizon Tour winnner Furyk had the Oban in his driver, Mitsubishi Whiteboard in his fairway. Langer went old school with a Graphite Design Purple Ice in his driver, 3 wood, Euro winner YE Yang had the Aldila NV in his driver and rescue (same as KJ Choi). Aldila also took the Wood and hybrid count at the Verizon. |

I'm working on a new product for the Iphone,
(and other Apple products) called Paintskinz.
It's a protective removeable film wrap made
from a unique film base/real automotive
acrylic urethane
paint/protective clear coat combination. The
first few
colors are a beautiful kandy apple red
metalflake and a Kandy copper metalflake.
They're easy to stick on the phone really
sparkle in the sunlight.
Use Paintskinz to give your Iphone, Ipod Touch, Macbook, or Ipad a fresh new look with a protective paint skin for about the same price of vinyl skins ($19.95 for an Iphone wrap)...I can wrap just about anything in Paintskinz, send me a note for a quote. They're easily peeled off if you decide on a different color, too. I'm working on the web site and have some great pictures to show you. Send me a quick note and I'll notify you when the Paintskinz web site is up and running (or I can email you a picture of my phone to see an example). I'm also working on some jazzy golf skins for Iphone branding. Perfect for outings, customer gifts (either printed in 4 color on vinyl or I can cut the logo's out of the Paintskinz on a plotter). |

I've been talking about the new Itomic Grips
from Tacki-Mac over the past few months and
my customers have fallen in love with these
great new grips. In addition Tacki-Mac makes
a complete line of grips in a variety of
colors and styles. The Arthritic model
provides great traction and feel, and will
give those aching hands a break. They also
make Avon and Kelmac grips. Check out their
entire line at http://tackimac.com
Tacki Mac's colorful new ITOMIC grips are not like traditional rubber grips. They are made from a proprietary blend of elastomeric materials that are very tacky with a super soft (but firm) feel. This revolutionary blend of thermo-forming materials is both very durable, and high performing in all weather conditions. ITOMIC grips maintain their tacky feel and new look for years by washing them with warm soapy water. The new Itomic grips are available in black, white, red, or blue and in a new wrap style.
