This is the last week to enter to win the
sharp Aldila RIP Staff Bag. If you've already
entered the NV Giveaway there is no need to
re-enter for the RIP Staff bag. To enter the
RIP bag contest, simply send me an email or
tweet with "Aldila RIP" in the subject line.
Sorry, US customers only for this contest.
Here's a picture of the RIP Tour bag
http://www.clubmaker-online.com/products/aldila.rip.html
. There is a picture and a bit of information
on the Aldila RIP, too.
I understand that the winner of last years
Masters is bagging the RIP in his driver for
the 2010 Masters.
What sets the VooDoo apart from other shafts is its patent pending S-core, or stabilized core, Technology designed to increase distance and provide outstanding accuracy with each swing. The real "magic" of the VooDoo is the high modulus carbon stabilization rib running the length of the shaft. "Our S-core Technology dramatically stabilizes the shaft's cross-section through the use of an internal carbon-fiber rib system," said John Oldenburg, Aldila's Vice President of Engineering. "The innovative rib structure increases hoop strength/stiffness so much that it is 80 percent greater than conventional graphite, and up to 60 percent greater than competitors' attempts at cross sectional stabilization." Visit the Aldila Voodoo Web Site here http://aldilavoodoo.html . I've seen some pictures online of Tiger
playing the new Graphite Design Tour AD DI
this week during Masters practice sessions.
The DI has a firm tip section and great feel that Graphite Design is known for. I've been following them on Twitter this winter and it seems they're getting great feedback from the tour players. Should be a winner for Graphite Design. |

I've been hearing rumors of a new True Temper
Dynamic Gold wedge shaft called the DG
Spinner. Unique ripples near the grip,
supposed to affect angle of attack to add
spin. Not available yet, probably a few months.
Here's some information I dug up:
The recent USGA groove modification has
significantly increased launch angles and
reduced spin rates on both full and low
impact wedge shots.
DG Spinner has been specifically designed
with a revolutionary section just underneath
the grip that creates the optimal bending
profile to offset the impact of the groove
change by decreasing launch angles as much as
2-3 degrees while increasing spin rates by as
much as 500+ rpm. The result is a more
penetrating trajectory that descends sharply
for greater stopping power.
While you're patiently waiting for the new TT wedge shaft, check out the Project X woods and hybrids. Two weeks in a row in the winners bag. Designed for those looking for a lower launch and low spin. |

KBS Steel started out the 2010 PGA Tour with
a bang with a first and second place finish
at the Sony Open. Tough to get pros to switch
iron shafts and they've been steadily gaining
popularity on Tour.
Try one in the Miura wedges I've been touting
the past few months.
http://www.clubmaker-online.com/miura.1957.html
and here
http://www.clubmaker-online.com/miura.wedges.html
Here's information from KBS on the Hi-Rev wedge shafts- Designed to impart additional backspin on the ball, the all-new KBS Hi-Rev couldn't have been introduced at a better time. With the controversial 2010 Groove-Rule changes recently taking effect, the KBS Hi-Rev delivers with more spin and control around greens. By lengthening the tip section, beefing up the weight and keeping the signature KBS step profile; the KBS Hi-Rev shaft will amplify your game while maintaining the signature 'feel' players have come to expect from KBS. |

Tacki Mac's colorful new ITOMIC grips are not
like traditional rubber grips. They are made
from a proprietary blend of elastomeric
materials that are very tacky with a super
soft (but firm) feel. This revolutionary
blend of thermo-forming materials is both
very durable, and high performing in all
weather conditions. ITOMIC grips maintain
their tacky feel and new look for years by
washing them with warm soapy water. The new
Itomic grips are available in black, white,
red, or blue and in a new wrap style. Follow
the link below to order Itomic grips direct
from Tacki Mac.
