455 Deep Bore Voted Top Component Head ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Interesting survey/vote done at one of the discussion
groups I sponsor. They voted on their all-time favorite
component clubhead and the SMT 455 Deep Bore
easily came out on top.
The 455 Deep Bore has been my "Driver of the
Week" for the better part of 3 years running. Lots of
great shaft combinations but one that is very popular
with my senior customers is the Accuflex IconLite with
a 12 Degree 455 Deep Bore.
Available in lofts 4 thru 14 deg in right or left hand (8, 11, 14 RH only), the 455 has won 2 World Long Drive Championships and a spot in the Guiness Book of World Records. Short Shots ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some new names making waves on the PGA Tour
this year. Accra reports back to back wins the past
two weeks for the new AXIV shafts, Matrix tells me
they've been setting new brand records for wood
shafts in play with their fantastic Ozik line, and
Mitsubishi continues to dominate the PGA Tour with a
concentration of top 10 players playing their
Diamana line (including #1 and 3 of top 5).
