Penley Golf Out of Business?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Looks like Penley Golf has recently closed their doors. I've been a dealer since they were hand rolling shafts in a small factory and am saddened to see them go.
For similarly priced shafts, check out SK Fiber, Graman, Accuflex, Matrix, Harrison, or Graphite Design at our Graphite Shaft Warehouse. Click on link below and use navigation bar on left side of page for shaft specs.
Superstroke "Fatso" Grips
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Received our first batch of Superstroke putter grips. Nice article in Golfweek on these and KJ after KJ switched and proceeded to putt his way to a few tour victories this year.

Kit comes with the Superstroke grip, a shaft extender to customize your putter length (if needed), a free installation DVD and free Andy North putting DVD. Installation is simple. Remove old grip and slip the new grip over the butt of the shaft. There are 6 allen screws than are tightened down (all 6 must be tightened to make conforming, see instructions). Top 4 screws are tightened into the shaft, bottom 2 are supposed to be tighted to pierce the putter shaft (to make it conforming so you can't adjust grip during a round). I like the grip a lot (at least on my office carpet, on course test is Sunday). I've got it installed with the flat part of the grip at 3 o'clock.

USGA Allows Interchangeable Shaft Sytems
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
USGA announced Aug. 29 that they are allowing additional forms of club adjustability starting in 2008. Interchangeable shafts will be allowed, which is exciting news for Clubmaker Report readers. Some nice head/ interchangeable shaft drivers are available from Nakashima, Alpha, and Versus golf through the Clubmaker Online catalog.
Nakashima and Versus are assembled only products, Alpha golf allows component sales of their new C830.4 Plasma clubhead with the interchangeable shaft system. Email me for a price quote on these fine drivers with your choice of some of the finest shafts made today. They're priced at a base price for the clubhead and add-on price for your shaft choice with one interchangeable hosel. Have a short driver ready for tight courses, go with a super long driver on your favorite wide open muni.
