Clubmaker.mobi-Made for Mobile Equipment News ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just started a new equipment site specially designed/
formatted for web enabled mobile devices (cell
phones, pda's, etc) to reach golfers that are
increasingly using mobile devices to access the
internet. Clubmaker.mobi has been designed to load
very fast on your web enabled cell phone using
newly established standardized code and site
design.
One feature will be a "sneek peek", what's in the
bag equipment news/rumors section. I've got a few
tidbits there already (hint: Matrix has picked up a few
name players). Hoping to have it set up so you
can go to the site for info while you're on the range or
after you're done with a round, (never while you're on
the course!) and HAVE to have a new shaft to
straighten out that pathetic duck hook. Spend some
time on a launch monitor? Pass your numbers along
and I can help you choose a premium shaft that will
make your driver perform as it's supposed to. Let's
say you're on the road on a sales call. I've got a
google maps link so you can find a course for a quick
trunk slammer special. Break your putter over your
knee after another 4 putt?
Clubmaker.mobi can help you decide which Yes!
Golf putter will straighten out your short game. Right
now, while you're good and ticked about it!
I'll be adding features, let me know what you'd like to see. Point your cell browser to http://clubmaker.mobi and let me know what you think! |

Golf Shaft Ho's-This Driver is for you! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Nakashima Golf H-Tec driver was one of the first
to come out with a system to make it easy for a golfer
to change golf shafts with just a few turns of a screw.
If you enjoy experimenting with a variety of golf shafts
with a super premium clubhead the HTech can save
you some serious cash....I suppose in the same way
your wife saves you money when she goes clothes
shopping and finds a good deal.
Here's how it works. Nakashima has designed a special hosel that the shaft epoxied to. (extra hosels are available for sale). The hosel has a nifty feature that allows you to set the club up square, closed, or open for the perfect setup for your swing. The hosel is attached to the head by a screw through the sole of the clubhead. Swapping shafts takes only a moment with the included tool. Pick out a shaft or two (or I can help you), order the head, and I'll install the shaft on the Nakashima hosel (no component sale for the Nakashima driver). New shafts are introduced all the time. Install the Nakashima hosel and compare with your gamer. Build a shorter driver for tight courses and a longdrive version for wide open muni's. I should warm you of one problem. Unless the shaft/ hosel is epoxied to the clubhead, it's considered non- conforming. The USGA has suggested changing this rule for 2008. If you play in a USGA event you'll need to epoxy the shaft/hosel combination to the head. I've used mine to test dozens of premium shafts, using the same clubhead for consistency, and the system works as advertised. |

True Temper Tour Concept ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My friends at True Temper have developed a line of
premium tour only golf shafts called Tour Concept.
These products feature ulta exotic proprietary materials
a playability characteristics that were previously
unavailable outside the tour.
I'm adding specs/info to clubmaker-online as we speak but was particularly interested in the new Grafalloy Tour driver shaft, a part of the Tour Concept line. It's based on the wildly popular ProLite shaft technology. It's available in a mid launch (3.1 t, 66g, $150) or high launch (3.8t, 65g, $150). Great looking color shift paint treatment. Here's the info from True Temper: Based on the now legendary Grafalloy Tour, the two newest members of the Tour Concept family offer the same technology found in the winningest composite wood shaft in PGA Tour history, but with launch angles that cater to a broader spectrum of golfers. Coated with Grafalloy's proprietary "Chameleon" color-shift paint, these shafts are as innovative on the outside as they are on the inside. |
