Greetings!
The first months of the year can be tricky. After the excitement of Christmas it can seem a long way to wait until the lighter evenings, till the spring arrives and until the next pay packet! So what can you do to brighten things up meantime? Here are three easy ways:
1. Invite a few friends round for dinner at home and ask each person/couple to bring a dish and to dress up! Dress the house up too, with candlelight and your best tableware and follow it up with an uplifting movie or a game.
2. Make a list of 20 things that show you how lucky you are and read it every day and every time you feel down. Include things like the fact you have food, access to clean water, safe shelter, good health, the relationships that brighten your life, the talents you excel at and so on - before you know it, you'll have a list as long as your arm showing how lucky you are.
3. Do something to lift someone else's spirits. You'll be surprised how powerful this is and in helping someone else, you'll make yourself feel better too!
So keep well and happy and remember, no matter what's happening, there are many ways in which you're lucky!
