Dear Greetings!
This week I've been joining in on some training with Britain's Next Top Coach, Christian Pankhurst and, as usual, it reminded me that however well-trained you are or however long you've been running your business, there's always something new to learn.
Christian was demonstrating a technique of his which really struck a chord with me. I always ask clients what they would like to get out of each session with me, but he tweaked this just a little to ask the following three questions:
1. How do you feel today?
2. How would you like to feel? and
3. What small change could you make that would make you feel that way?
How great is that? Very simple and yet effective.
Ask yourself the 3 questions now. Do it right now and see what you come up with!
Connecting with how you WANT to feel takes you out of your 'story' and gives you clues to what you need to be doing for yourself to get to where you want to be.
It occurs to me this isn't a bad technique to use for yourself throughout every day when you find yourself in a negative state.
