If you're one of the people who lies awake at night, tossing and turning and rarely gets an uninterrupted night's sleep, it's not only your wellbeing that suffers but your performance too.

 

Sleep is a vital part of achieving balance and good health as it's the body's opportunity to rest everything, so that it can concentrate its energies on healing and restoring itself.   Therefore, lack of good quality sleep compromises your body and mind's ability to recuperate and function well.

 

When you haven't slept, your brain is fuzzy, concentration is difficult and even your immune system is compromised, which leaves you susceptible to infections, which further impairs your performance.
