Gift Wrappers Needed for Mayor Gray's Annual Toy Giveaway

Gift Wrapping

Gift wrappers are needed for Mayor Vincent C. Gray's annual toy giveaway. Volunteers will wrap presents at the historic John A. Wilson Building, which will be distributed to children at the DC General Family Shelter and low-income housing complexes throughout the District. Make Dreams Come True as a Holiday for Hope Volunteer

Ornaments

Dreams for Kids, a nonprofit that works to empower at-risk youth, needs volunteers for its annual Holiday for Hope event. Holiday for Hope is the area's largest holiday celebration for at-risk children and, this year, more than 700 homeless and underprivileged children and families and 400 volunteers will take part in the festivities at Howard University's Armour J. Be an Angel as a Salvation Army Angel Tree Volunteer

The Salvation Army National Capital Area Command needs volunteers to support its Angel Tree Program, which provides clothing and toys for local children in need. Although Angel Sponsors are always in demand, volunteers are also needed to help sort, bag and distribute gifts to Angel Tree families through December 21. Home for the Holidays, Volunteer with DC Habitat for Humanity

Give "home for the holidays" new meaning as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Washington, DC. Several volunteer slots are still available for two open construction builds in the Northeast Ivy City neighborhood. DC Jewish Community Center's December 25th Day of Service

The Washington DC Jewish Community Center (DCJCC) is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its December 25th Day of Service! More than 1,000 volunteers of all ages and religious backgrounds will make an impact on 10,000 people though service projects with more than 50 local organizations. Projects last from two to four hours and include serving meals to seniors, preparing food for the homeless, donating blood and more!
