9/11 Unity Walk brings together people of all ages, backgrounds and faiths to learn to respect each other through a framework of experiential education, compassionate leadership and intentional service. Volunteer opportunities are available in a variety of capacities, including safety, reception, registration and transportation.

HandsOn Greater DC Cares Volunteer Opportunities all Weekend 
HandsOn Greater DC Cares will coordinate 22 projects over the 9/11 10th Anniversary weekend and still has opportunities open on Sunday, September 11. You could honor 9/11 by delivering meals to seniors, showing pets for adoption, cleaning recreation centers, helping someone update a resume, and various other projects.

Volunteer at the 2011 Adams Morgan Day Festival

Sponsored by the Adams Morgan Main Street Group, the Adams Morgan Day Festival is an annual District tradition that celebrates the diversity and energy of the Adams Morgan neighborhood. In addition to traditional programming, this year's event will have a special 9-11 commemorative component, and volunteers are needed in a variety of capacities.
