Katelyn O'Keefe '14 Leads Living Lab Work Days

Katelyn O'Keefe '14 announced in December 2011 that, for her Girl Scout Gold Award Project, she will build a memorial circle in the center of the redwood trees in the Living Lab in honor of the memory of Anna Costa '90, who was killed in an automobile accident on her way home from school in the fall of 1989.

The memorial circle will include two stairway entrances with wrap around benches, granite pavers, and a mosaic centerpiece. This centerpiece will seal into the circle a time capsule containing gifts and memorabilia from the Costa family and friends - and its design will feature an Anna's hummingbird (a local species commonly seen in the Living Lab).
