CSI Named to Presidential Honor Roll For Community Service

The Corporation for National and Community Service honored the College of Staten Island (CSI) with a place on the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for exemplary service efforts and service to America's communities. 
 
"The College of Staten Island is continuing to strengthen its longstanding tradition of public service. The latest national recognition is a reflection of the great work that CSI students, faculty, and staff do every day in service to their community," said Dr. Matthew Goldstein, Chancellor of The City University of New York.

Job Fair Offers Opportunities in Tough Times
 
CSI AthleticsThe CSI Career and Scholarship Center will present the 2009 Collegiate Job Fair on Thursday, April 2, 2009.
 
According to Caryl Watkins, director of the Center, "Attending a job fair may be just the right career move in this difficult economy."
Friends of CSI Welcome Lesley Gore 
 
Meet Lesley Gore after she performs new tunes and classic hits at the CSI Center for the ArtsThe Friends of the College of Staten Island are hosting "It's Our Party-An Evening with Lesley Gore," the famed 1960s pop singer.
 
The evening festivities include a post-performance champagne and wine reception with Ms. Gore.

NCAA Division III National Championships
 
Three members of the CSI men's swimming and diving team are participating in the 2009 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming National Championships in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this week.
 
Two-time defending national champion Pavel Buyanov and teammates Nikolay Shevchenko and Vladislav Romanov are participating in a total of eight separate events beginning Wednesday and extending through Saturday in both preliminary and final heats.

CSI Baseball Draws Split with Farmingdale State
 
A walk-off two-out RBI single by freshman Sal Todaro in the nightcap salvaged a split for CSI against the Farmingdale State Rams in a non-conference doubleheader played at the CSI Baseball Complex earlier this afternoon.
