Alumni Valentine's Mass and Celebration
MCMerrimack College couples gathered for a Mass celebrated by Fr. Bill Waters, O.S.A. and Fr. Jim Wenzel, O.S.A. '52 at the Collegiate Church of Christ the Teacher on Saturday, February 13, 2010 to celebrate love and renew their vows. In 1999, Merrimack College welcomed a 29,000 square foot 600+ seat performing arts center to campus in an effort to bring the College and greater Merrimack Valley together to enjoy the arts.
 
Sports MedicineSports Med faculty present hands-on lecture to high school students
Sixty high school students from the North Shore Community College Tech Prep program visited campus recently to explore careers in sports medicine.  Merrimack College sports medicine faculty Kevin Finn, Dennis Fontaine, and Birgid Hopkins, as well as several Merrimack College athletic training/sports medicine majors provided an interactive presentation and hands-on activities to the group. 
 
The Seventh Annual Tolle Lege Reception recently honored 39 authors, to include 28 faculty, five administrators, and six alumni, whose work has been published during the past year.
 
Study Abroad Students Blogging From Overseas
Two Merrimack students who are currently studying abroad are blogging about their experiences from a foreign land. Check out their latest entries from afar.  Heidi Wroblicky '10  is studying in France this semester.
Lindsey de Mont '10 is studying in Italy.
 
In addition to 16 varsity men's and women's sports, Merrimack students can keep fit through an increasingly popular intramurals and recreation program. Students can choose from 15 different leagues and a growing number of club sports including male and female rugby, and lacrosse.

On March 18 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room of the Sakowich Campus Center, companies representing different career opportunities, such as Fidelity Investments and Enterprise Rent-a-Car, will be on hand to discuss professional positions.  Others options will also be available such as Tufts School of Medicine, and the U.S. Army.  Click here to see what companies will be attending.  For more information call 978-837-5480.
 
Live For Fashion

Merrimack College's A.L.A.N.A club has partnered with the Diversity department to present, Live For Fashion.  This event is to benefit both The Samaritans, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting suicide awareness as well as to assist underprivileged children/inner city youth.  Sponsorship opportunities are available! Athletics
The Merrimack women's basketball team upset previously-unbeaten and top-ranked Franklin Pierce 71-64 on February 17. It marked the first time the Warriors defeated the top-ranked team in the country in program history.
 
The Merrimack hockey team continues to close in on its first playoff appearance since 2004. They have more Hockey East wins this season than the last thirteen years! Be sure to come support the Warriors in the final regular season home game on March 6 against Providence College. 
 
Men's Basketball On Track for Third Straight NCAA Tournament Appearance
The Merrimack men's basketball team finished the regular season with a 19-7 record and in third place in the Northeast-10. Led by All-American and Cousy Award Finalist Darren Duncan, they are likely headed to their third straight NCAA Tournament.
