Greetings~
Having a conversation with a dear friend of mine in the not so distant past, I asked through a fit of tears, "how do I let go of this resentment and betrayal I feel?" He answered in a soft, compassionate tone, "through forgiveness," and then he held my heart as I struggled through the string of emotions and reactions that followed inside.
A day or two later, I thought about what forgiveness meant to me. Is it something I feel is expected of me? Something I have to or "should" do? Something I want to do but there's a little part of me that doesn't? I hadn't crossed over yet, and I was the one suffering.
Maybe forgiveness means setting aside the battle, letting go, and putting my own peace and happiness above anything else. Maybe it means seeing the Truth above all the other illusions of the mind. The questions that need to be answered then, are: Are we worthy? Or, is another worthy of love?
And perhaps it was a choice right then and there, between Peace or War, Light or Dark, forgiving or grieving, Life or Death . . . and what was I going to choose? What is the foundation from which I want to live, from which I want my relationships to expand over and over again. Not forgiving keeps you in the struggle. When we forgive we are willing to give up resentment, revenge, anger, and obsession. Perhaps forgiveness isn't a command performance, but something we allow to flow through us, changing the vibration to something higher.
Over the course of time, there will always be some inner turmoil over the true meaning of what it means to forgive, but any way we slice it, every time we forgive, we have just increased our happiness.
Namaste,
Anisha

Ananda Herbals
| The practice of acupuncture helps to return the flow of energy and blood back to normal in the body and to reinstate optimal organ function. In turn, normal function is restored to affected areas, and the body begins to heal itself.
Herbal medicine has long been a complementary treatment to acupuncture, as herbs, taken orally, work to balance the yin and yang forces in the body and to support the healing momentum between acupuncture appointments.
At Ananda Healing Arts, we are pleased to offer Ananda Herbals, a complete line of herbal dietary supplements made from ancient formulas that help maintain good health and heal various difficult health conditions. The herbs possess energetic qualities and can either counteract or facilitate certain physiological conditions in order to provide balance and comfort.
Ananda Herbals products are made from pure and natural ayurvedic herbs of the finest quality. Every single herb is lab tested and certified for purity and quality and registered with the FDA. Acupuncture treats depression & anxiety
|
Chinese medicine recognizes the powerful interplay between the body and emotions. In fact, the two are inseparable. If we are emotionally upset, our internal environment becomes disrupted, leading to the physical symptoms of anxiety and depression. If we are physically compromised, our emotions can be greatly affected. Acupuncture is an effective way to treat the whole person, addressing mind, body, and spirit. According to Chinese medical theories, depression and anxiety are often the result of an imbalance or blockage in the body's energetic organ meridian systems. If Qi becomes obstructed or the quality becomes insufficient, then emotional upset, anxiety, depression, illness, and disease may occur. Many things may cause the Qi to become blocked or insufficient, such as physical or emotional trauma, hereditary weakness, poor diet, or chemical, physical, and emotional stress. We place acupuncture needles into points in the body to facilitate the flow of life force -- to bring energy into areas of deficiency and unblock the flow where there has been stagnation. To treat anxiety and depression, needles may be inserted specifically to treat unresolved grief, absence of joy, anger, depression, fear or shock, and to move energy, calm the spirit, and create balance in the mind. The goal of using acupuncture to treat depression or anxiety is to create harmony and healing within ourselves and between ourselves and the world. Regardless of what emotional difficulty you may be experiencing, acupuncture can help treat these mental-emotional disorders. |
