Namaste!

Happy New Year to you and yours! I just wanted to say that I hope 2012 is the best year of you life so far. That any hurt or pain from the past dissipate and the scars heal over.  And as we have a fresh start, to let go of anger, resentment and hurt, be healed, renewed and restored to right relationship in all ways, with all people.

For the next few weeks, we'll all hear the words "Happy New Year". I've  said it myself with not quite as much sincerity and in some cases a feeling of obligation. The greeting has become almost as knee-jerk as "How are you." When sacred moments become obligatory and worn out, we lose heartfelt connection to the true meaning. So I've been asking myself, " How can I make this year truly new?" I'm certain the answer doesn't lie in simply repeating "happy new year" over and over. So I invite each of you to drop the habitual lip service, close your eyes and really feel into your bodies and hearts for an answer. The answers may not be about your defiencies and shortcomings, but perhaps about what you already have, and what you alone can offer the world. What is ready in you? What part of you can the world no longer be without? Because it needs your joy, passion, enthusiasm, courage, beauty, wisdom and talents! So take one breath for you, to believe in yourself. Take one breath for someone you love, to believe in them. And take one breath for the world, to believe in it. Right here, right now.

Peace
Anisha

p.s. I am so excited about all of Ananda's offerings in 2012. I hope you'll take the time to scroll all the way down to see for yourself!

PAN GU YOGA  January 28th, 2012

Please join me January 28th, 2012 for the second profound journey with Pangu Yoga, a brand new system of yoga that uniquely blends the deep principles of Pangu Mystical Qi Gong with the essence of yoga. Both paths share a common purpose, to discover the profound relationship between man, nature and the universe and to be in union with Grace, with Divine Spirit, sharing that Love and Compassion with others. The Light, Energy and healing principles of master Ou's Qi Gong is infused within the movement and breath of a simple yet powerful yoga practice, grounded in Love and Kindness.PanGu Yoga
We co-created this form in hopes of bringing this profound practice and energy to more people around the world. Pangu yoga brings profound health and spiritual benefits to students: a strong internal body, a healthy immune system, a clear, calm and focused mind, balanced emotions and the cultivation of spirit, heart and soul.

 In the words of Master Ou, "in this practice, your body touches the earth in several ways, but your spirit transcends".

Experience from the first Pan Gu Yoga class:

"I'm not sure I can adequately express in words the effect Sunday's Pangu Yoga session had on me.  I went into the workshop with a love of yoga and an open mind.  I am embarrased now to say even though my mind was open,  there was an underlying doubt due to my lack of experience and understanding of Qi Gong.   The energy you described to me when we discussed your development of Pangu with Master Ou sounded amazing yet "unreal", like something out of a legend or ancient religious text.  I had no idea walking into that session just how much it would transform my idea of what "reality" can be.

During the session I enjoyed the yoga  flow intermingled with the mantra "passcodes" (as you described them :o)), those wonderful verbal reminders that brought us back to purpose and recentered us. The whole body breathing gave me a new visualization for yogic breath, and I will enjoy continuing to practice it.   The three stages would have been enough to make me want to practice Pangu again, as they were calming and energizing at the same time.  That is, until we came to savasana.

Settling into the relaxation of that pose,  there were the usual twitters of thought that gave way to the overall feeling of centered peace.  Suddenly I felt a wave of energy crash over me.  It was like nothing I've ever experienced before, and I was so overwhelmed my hands trembled slightly and I felt an anxiety in my chest.  I felt it's weight for a brief time, and then like water to a sponge I felt it become a part of me and the anxiety subsided.   The thought came to me that I am a conduit for this beautiful energy.  This followed by the thought that  if I can find some way to pass this energy along to others, I would know the joy of purposeful service in life. The experience was so powerful it brought me to tears on my way home!

I am writing to you first to thank you for taking the time to create Pangu Yoga!   For Sunday's experience alone I am humbled and grateful. I feel as though a guidepost in life has been shown to me, and that I would be remiss to allow it to pass unheeded. "

Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury,pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen
