Greetings!
Sometimes the holidays bring so much expectation about "having a good time" and "being happy" that it's just plain exhausting. While I always hope for laughs and memorable times it isn't always so. Sometimes the holidays remind us of what we've lost, may lose or are willing to lose. Heartbreak, nostalgia and overwhelm may linger and it can be lonely and disappointing. On top of that, wanting it to be a certain way that is different from the way it IS, creates a narrow, rigid perspective that usually creates more of what I don't want and down the rabbit hole I go. Thanksgiving was like that for me. I tried to remind myself, "you are never alone," but its hard to remember that when I feel isolated in an experience I believe no one else can understand. What I relearned was that we never truly know what others experience so be careful before you judge yourself or believe others "have it made." It may surprise you how similar our human experience can be. It's just that most people hesitate to talk about it, perhaps out of fear, shame, or disapproval. The Truth I believe is that we really are one consciousness and so on some level we share the human experience with each other consciously or unconsciously. Somewhere in the world, someone has experienced a loss or heartbreak just like yours. What I discovered was that just BEING in a community without necessarily knowing or talking to anyone in the yoga class in Naples, I just felt better and it allowed me to create a new moment with a fresh perspective on the situation.
So where does that leave us? Hopefully in the knowing that we are not alone. Hopefully from that knowing to a sense of community. Hopefully from that community to a sense of belonging, place and purpose. And through that purpose, a desire to give freely, openly and honestly, regardless of the loss, the gain, the good, the bad, the love, the hatred...leading us to a type of happiness that lasts.
Namaste, Anisha

A Notice to all clients
| As the new year approaches and my practice continues to grow and expand, I'd like to make a few requests from my beloved clients. Please include in the subject line the purpose of your email. For example: health concern, appointment, rescheduling, or question. As I'll most likely be hiring someone in the new year to help me in the office, this will help streamline the process, giving you the answer you need more efficiently. Phone calls and emails are best as its very unlikely I will respond to a text. Please also give 48 hrs before you cancel an appointment and be sure to write your appointment time down. Due to time constraints I find myself unable to help people remember their schedules. Thanks for your understanding.

Medical Qi Gong with Paul Fraser
Please join us December 9th-11th, 2011 for the second introductory workshop for Medical Qi Gong here in Raleigh! If you've already taken the class, feel free to come again at no cost. If you haven't now is your chance! Then you can join the rest of the class in January.
In this year long course, students will learn how to care for their own health, and to bring help to those whose health has been compromised. Open to seasoned practitioners and people completely new to healing practices, this course is designed to take students from the most basic principles of healing, all the way to addressing issues such as cancer, multiple sclerosis and emotional concerns, just to name a few. CEU's are available for acupuncturists.

Paul Fraser, MAc, LicAc, faced with a life threatening illness in 1987, began studying Qi Gong with Master Tom Tam of Boston, Massachusetts. Inspired by Qi Gong's quick restoration of his health, Paul began studying Qi Gong and continues to study and teach with Master Tam, to this day.
Paul traveled to both mainland China and Taiwan to study the Shao Lin systems of Qi Gong and the Chinese medical application of Qi Gong energy, from Master Tam's teachers. Paul has also completed teacher training with world renowned Qi Gong Master Ou Wen Wei in 2001, and co-authored a published work with Master Ou on "Qi Gong in the treatment of rare genetic disorders in children."
Paul received his Master's in Acupuncture from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture, located in Gainesville, Florida and is the former director of the Medical Qi Gong Program at the Academy as well as The New England School of Acupuncture. In September of 2010, Paul was awarded for his "Outstanding Contribution to The Field of Medical Qi Gong" at The World Conference on Health and Longevity in Beijing, China.

Dear Fellow Practitioners,
Recently, and in an ongoing fashion, I have had the privilege of working with Paul Fraser. I have benefited from his Medical Qi Gong practice first as a patient and now as a practitioner, and it is with great enthusiasm for and confidence in this healing work that I write to you in hopes of bringing his knowledge and wisdom to North Carolina acupuncturists, psychologists, social workers, other medical professionals and healers.
As noted, I can speak from personal experience as to the remarkable transformative nature of these healing arts. Realizing that this course represents a considerable commitment of time and monetary resources, I am certain that through this study and practice we can enhance the effectiveness of our treatments while increasing our own strength and well-being at the same time.
Please review the attached course description and brochure. For any questions or comments, and for reserving your spot in the course, please contact me at the phone number or email address below.
The first weekend will be December 9, 10, and 11, 2011, with study one weekend every other month with a total of six weekends. (Friday 4-8pm, Sat and Sun 9am-5pm).
