Featured Parish:

St. Paul the Apostle

St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church is our featured parish this week and youth minister John Price has great hope and pride in his young people.

John says that St. Paul Youth Ministry is unique because of it's diversified togetherness. It brings youth from different socio-economic backgrounds together to praise and glorify God. Although diverse, this unique microcosm is free from the separatism and cliques that divide and/or may cause issues in other organizations, John said. He also commented that St. Paul's Youth Ministry members genuinely love and respect each other as well as learn from each other's unique experiences.

One event these St. Paul teens enjoy doing within their parish is their Annual Toy Sale that assists those who may not be as financially fortunate. "It's a lot of hard work but the youth enjoy the socialization with each other and giving service to our community", John said.

When asked what one big thing he would hope to eventually do with his youth ministry, he commented that he would love to take youth to Vatican City. "I would love for them to experience the rich Catholic History of the Holy See and enjoy the beautiful Sistine Chapel and Saint Peter's Basilica. It would be a privilege to attend mass with the Pope and share that experience with the youth". John has big hopes for his young people, and his enthusiasm for youth ministry is undeniable.
