Geoffrey Chatas, senior vice president for business and finance and chief financial officer at The Ohio State University, Christopher Culley, senior vice president and general counsel for the university, and Vinny Gupta, Ohio Board of Regents, invite all Ohio State alumni to attend a reception scheduled for July 10 with Chief Guest Laxmikant Tanna. This reception is an exclusive opportunity for alumni in India to speak directly with university financial officers and to learn about the financing and investment strategies of Ohio State.

 Geoffrey S. Chatas is senior vice president for business and finance and chief financial officer of The Ohio State University. Chatas manages and oversees the university's $4.5 billion budget and leads a team of approximately 350 people. He also co-teaches an 800-level finance course at the Fisher College of Business. He came to Ohio State in 2010 from JP Morgan Asset Management, and before that served as chief financial officer for Progress Energy, Inc., and as senior vice president for finance and treasurer for American Electric Power.
Christopher Culley directs the university's Office of Legal Affairs. He is responsible for the delivery of legal services by the department's attorneys, and he supervises external legal work by over 25 state and national law firms. His special areas of responsibility include legal issues in university governance and administration, legal services to the university's areas of business and finance, construction, human resources, athletics and government relations. Prior to coming to Ohio State, Culley was the first chief of the education section of the Ohio Attorney General's Office.

Vinny Gupta, a member of the Ohio Board of Regents, serves as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence (EIR) for JumpStart Entrepreneurial Network (JEN) Advisors, a non-profit organization in Cleveland that focuses on the direct coaching of entrepreneurs, helping them to define their business plans and approach. Gupta has served as president and CEO of two multi-million dollar manufacturing companies, which produced metal castings for various industry applications. In 2005, Gupta applied his organizational and entrepreneurial skills to the home health care field, founding Progressive Home Care, a Medicare-based agency providing skilled nursing and home health care in six Ohio counties.
Laxmikant Tanna earned an MBA with a concentration in industrial management from The Ohio State University in 1958. Over the years, he has worked in his family export-import business in a variety of industries. Currently, he continues his entrepreneurship in the real estate and finance sectors and takes pride in being a loyal alumnus of Ohio State.
