Dell's Desk - Dell Sanders, General Manager
As I write this, tropical storm Debbie is swirling overhead dropping many inches of desperately needed rain water. We've been in a drought condition for a long time so, I Hope that this storm will fill our wells and signal an end to this dry spell.
If you're anywhere near us then be sure to check you RV for leaks. Call Service Manager Mark Maness to schedule repairs when you find water stains, standing water, wet interior walls, etc.
Congratulations to my brother David Sanders for becoming a RVDA-RVIA Certified RV Technician. His certification is hanging over the parts counter along with Certified Technician Wayne Wilson and Master Certified Technician Mark Maness and our 2012 Airstream Service Excellence Award.
Thanks for reading JD's Digest. Tell your RVing friends about it. Better yet, forward this message to them.
Finally, when your in the neighborhood, stop in for a visit. We'll brew a fresh pot of coffee for you!
P.S. One of our long-time customers sent us this photo of his motorhome parked at Battle Row RV Park in Old Bethpage (Long Island), NY.

Sometimes the owner manual says it best. Have you ever read through your Owner's Manual? If you own a Rockwood or any Forest River product then you have an excellent reference source for care and maintenance like the following:
ABS Plastic Care and Maintenance
Many components of the recreational vehicle are constructed of strong, lightweight ABS plastic. Sometimes, it may be necessary to remove stains, or generally clean. A mild solution of soap and water will clean many stains, and should be used initially. Tougher stains may require stronger cleaners, but be sure to read the label to determine if the product is recommended for use on plastics.
Avoid abrasive cleaners (even the liquid and cream types), alcohol based products, and solvents such as acetone and MEK. Gasoline and kerosene should not be used because of the damaging effect they have on the plastic surface, as well as the fire hazard they present. Often the damage caused by solvents , alcohol, and oil based products may not be immediately noticeable, but the plastic is made weaker, and prone to stress cracking.

Part s Desk - David Sanders, Parts Manager
We stock as many RV related parts and accessories in out store as possible. If we stocked every possible item we'd need a building as large as our entire dealership. Since that is impossible, we keep and special order from several distributor catalogs. We make one of those catalogs directly available to you at our website, on the right side of the Digest or you can click here.
So, if you want new patio loungers, chairs and tables, you'll find 8 pages of them beginning here.
Want to add a central vacuum to your RV? Click here.
Are you a do-it-yourselfer when it comes to repairs? Then click herefor roofing materials and coatings.
We do stock some hard to find parts so come on in or give us a call. |

We're only halfway through 2012 and 2013 models are already here! If you look at the Apex at the top of the right column you see it is a 2013 model. Click on the link to see more of this fine RV.
Beneath the Apex is a well appointed 2012 Rockwood fifth-wheel Go ahead ...check it out.
Finally, we recently took a 2009 Airstream Classic in trade. This is a rare unit as it has a slideout! Airstream only produced a few of these beauties. It won't be here long, I'm sure of it. So take a look and call us for details. |
