By now most of the snowbirds have left us for points north and west. Are you among them? Or are you now preparing to take that summer trip of say, two weeks to 2 months?

Our customers and friends travel far and wide. One spent a summer in Maine and provided us with this image from a car trip north to New Brunswick, Canada. Rather peaceful, don't you think?

Maybe your headed out west rather than north? When many of us think of California we think of the big coastal cities. Well, there is much more to see on the other side of the mountains.

Near Barstow, California in the Mojave Desert is a a formation named Rainbow Basin. Our friend sent us a photo of the basin he took a few years back ...

Do you take photos of the places you visit in your RV. We'd love to showcase them here. Send them to jdsandersrv@gmail.com. Be sure to include information about where and when.

Do you have a Dometic 4-button Comfort Control Center controlling your 2 zone RV air conditioner, heat strips or heat pump and furnace? If you do, then you probably have experienced the frustration of trying to change zones by pushing two buttons at the same time to change zones.

It appears that over time and use the buttons don't respond as well as they should. We used to replace older 4-button thermostats with new ones. But a few years ago Dometic stopped making them. There are no more to be found anywhere.

More and more RVers with the old 4-button units have asked us to replace them with the newer 5-button model as it has a separate button for changing zones.

In order to complete this upgrade we must replace the control board in each a/c unit on the roof. While we stock the 5-button CCCs we must order the control boards from Dometic after we determine the model number of your a/c units. The good news here is that since Dometic opened a distribution center in Orlando we can have parts usually the next day.

So, if you're tired of fighting with your older 4-button thermostat make a service appointment and we'll upgrade your Dometic a/c units in about 3 days.
