Dell's Desk - Dell Sanders, General Manager
Have you visited our website lately? We've made some changes to the layout. The right column is gone, making more room for text and images. The navigation buttons have migrated from the left column to the top of the page in drop-down menus. We're working to streamline our page content as well so you don't have to scroll down and down and down.
Do you have a "smart" phone like an Iphone or Droid? When you access our website via smart phone (or Ipod) you will automatically see our specially designed mobile website. Of course, you can access our traditional website through your phone's browser, if you want.
This great digital paradigm shift is making the world smaller and smaller. Our site stats show that we are visited every month by someone in nearly every country on the planet! But, I'm still waiting for a first contact from Antarctica.
In this seemingly shrinking world, friends and customers - like you - are most important to us. When can you stop by to say hello? The coffee is always fresh and hot.
Meanwhile, If you have not entered our monthly drawing then come on down to the store. The May winner of a $100 gift certificate is Wayne Heikila. |
Service Desk - Mark Maness, Service Manager
Someone once said that a picture is worth a thousand words. So, this month I'm doing something a bit differently. This month I'm using photos to illustrate my point.
If you own a travel trailer or fifth-wheel trailer you should know that the wheel bearings should be repacked every year and the brake drums inspected for wear. On the left below you see a brake drum with excessive wear an gouging. This can cause brakes to lock-up or fail altogether. On the right is a new brake drum. Click on each photo to see a larger image.

Note the all the crusted grease on the old drum. This condition was due to the seal failing which was likely due to lack of periodic service. The leaking grease was a contributing factor to the brakes failing. |
