Dell's Desk - Dell Sanders, General Manager
As you can see, J.D.'s Digest has gone through a makeover of sorts. Now you'll receive our newsletter as an email rather than a PDF attachment. You will still be able to view this and past issues by visiting our website and clicking on "eNewsletter." We've provided a link to the archive under Quick Links in the right column.
Please note that the "News Desk" has moved to the right column along with a link to our "Events Calendar."
We hope you will continue sharing the Digest with your RVing friends by providing them with a link to our archives.
Meanwhile, If you have not entered our monthly drawing then come on down to the store. The April winner of a $100 gift certificate is Robert Wheary. |

We sell propane (LP gas) to RVers and anyone else who brings us a tank (bottle). These are filled by our RV technicians. But, before they can begin, the technician must check that the bottle is in compliance with federal law. Portable LP tanks must be recertified after 12 years and every five years thereafter I think propane101.com says it best:
"Cylinders are subject to recertification (also known as requalification) twelve years from their date of manufacture and every five years after that. For example, a cylinder manufactured in January of 2000 will have to be recertified in January of 2012 meaning if you take your bottle to the propane company in April of 2012 to be refilled, it will have to be requalified by authorized personnel before it can be filled. The recertification process is simple and does not take too long to complete."
If your tank is built into a motorhome, then no recertification is required. However, each time you fill your LP Tank the technician should do a visual inspection for damage to the tank and valves.
Finally, at least once a year a leak test on the RV propane system should be performed so that little problems don't grow into big problems.

There are almost too many products to choose from when it comes to washing and waxing your RV. Believe me when I say that I know about all those choices. We only have so much shelf space. So, we take care in choosing RV cleaning products.
A few years back we came across products from Advanced Chemical in Augusta, Georgia. They make RV Wash and RV Spray Wax. After adding these to our shelves we began receiving rave reviews from customers, especially regarding the RV Spray Wax. Here's some info:
According to the company "RV wash cleans RVs
campers and awnings without harming paint, aluminum, wax rubber roofs, clear coatings, vinyl or fabric. RV Wash will remove bugs, road film, and most other soils." $9.95 qt/$23.39 gal
RV Spray Wax

This product "is a premium quality foaming liquid spray wax that may be used on any RV siding as well asautomobiles and other vehicles. Spray wax provides UV protection as well as a superior shine on all siding and painted surfaces. $16.99 qt/$38.95 gal |
Sales Desk - Wayne Borecki, Sales Manager
The general public is definitely returning to the marketplace. They are actively shopping for new and used RVs. We are seeing increasing numbers of people here at the dealership and hope that the trend continues.
Airstreams, Earthbounds and Rockwoods are moving off the lot. So are a variety of pre-owned RVs.
Our first Eddie Bauer Airstream arrived last week. It's made with the kayak, canoe or bicycle enthusiast in mind. You can see lots of pictures and view details by clicking here.
For those of you who may be interested in the new Earthbound RVs, we are waiting for the factory to complete and deliver a Copper Canyon and a Montreal (Featuring The All New Sky View™ Panoramic Front Windshield) |
