Minnesota Library Legacy Planning

NWRL

On Nov. 4, 2008, Minnesota voters approved a proposed Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment, increasing the sales and use tax rate beginning July 1, 2009, by three-eighths of one percent on taxable sales until the year 2034.

Minnesota's Legacy Amendment raises revenue for Clean Water, Outdoor Heritage, Parks and Trails, and Arts and Cultural Heritage.

Libraries have been beneficiaries of a portion of the Arts and Cultural Heritage funding.
