Happening This Week

 

Come to the Greenbush Public Library on Monday, April 2, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. for the Technology Open House. Best Buy will be in the library to explain the differences between all the e-reader options that are out there to choice from. They will answer all of you questions to make sure you get the e-reader that works for you.   

 

Bring the kids to the Hallock Library on Tuesday, April 3, for story time, and "Easter Eggs with Hair" at 11:00 a.m. Come to the Karlstad Link Site on Wednesday, April 4, at 4:00, Author Jill Musberger Johnson will be bring her book Little Minnesota, and slide show presentation. On Thursday, April 5, bring your own lunch to the library from 11:30 - 1:00 p.m. Lyndon Johnson and Monsanto Corporation will present a gift to the Hallock and Karlstad libraries.   

 

This week at the Red Lake Falls Library Heidi Hughes from the Audubon Society will be presenting a program on Bluebirds. Come and learn all about attracting these beautiful birds to you yard on Wednesday, April 4, at 6:30 p.m. Bring the kids in for story time on Friday, April 6, at 10:30 a.m.  

 

Bring the kids in to the Roseau Library for story time on Tuesday, April 2, at 10:30 a.m. An egg hunt will be underway! The book sale continues, come in and find great bargains.  

 

Poets of all ages, remember the deadline for the Thief River Falls Library Poetry Contest is Monday, April 2nd. Check the website (www.nwrlib.org) for Poetry Contest details. The annual quilt show is up in the Thief River Falls Library starting April 1! Please stop in and see the beautiful quilts on display by the Thief River Falls Quilter's Guild through the month of April. Teens, you won't want to miss Teen Time on Tuesday, April 2, at 3:00 p.m. Ashia will show you how to do egg decorating with a twist! Thursday, April 5, is a Family Fun night, celebrating our Windy Spring. Come for Story Time at 6:45 p.m. and stay for Family Fun at 7:00 p.m.!  

 

Bring the kids to the Warren-Godel Library on Tuesday, April 2, at 2:00 p.m. We will be celebrating the anniversary of the first sundae ever made by making our own play-doh sundaes. On Friday, April 6, at 11:00 a.m. story time will be full of Bunny and Easter Tales.

Bring the family to the Warroad Library on Thursday, April 5, at 6:00 p.m. for a great family movie. Free movie style popcorn will be served! On Saturday, April 7, bring the kids to the Warroad Senior Living Center for the Easter Egg Scramble. The library filled two dozen eggs with candy and other fun treats from the library.

Harry Potter Now Available on E-Book

Northwest Regional Library is happy to announce that the popular Harry Potter series is now available for download through the Northwest Regional Library Virtual Library (OverDrive).

The titles are listed under juvenile fiction and are available for check out in both Adobe ePub and Kindle.

Sloughgrass Family Band

Come experience the Sloughgrass Family Band. They bring a blend of Bluegrass, Old-time, Scandinavian, Gospel, Country and Folk music-what they call "mosquito moving music." Their show is sure to be a hit with the whole family. Musicians welcome to join in a jam session.
