Happening This Week

 

Bring the kids into the Greenbush Public Library for a pre-school story time on Tuesday, February 28, at 10:30 a.m. Join us on Leap Day, Wednesday, February 29, from 3-5:30 p.m. for Wacky Wednesday. We will be trying all sorts of electronic games - from Atari to Wii. The UFO (Unfinished Objects Club) will meet at 6:00 p.m. Bring in our unfinished crafts and visit! Also, learn how to crochet! On Thursday, March 1, come in for a Seussapalooza Slumber Party at 6 p.m.! Its a slumber party with a Dr. Seuss Twist! Wear your PJs and slippers and bring with your favorite stuffed friend. Stories, crafts and treats. On Saturday, March 3, join us at United Free Lutheran Church in Greenbush for a special showing of the Michael Landon Jr./FoxFaith movie "Saving Sarah Cain". The movie will start at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served. The movie is based on the book "The Redemption of Sarah Cain" by Christian author Beverly Lewis. Beverly Lewis will be visiting the Greenbush Public Library on April 16th at 10:00 a.m.    

 

In the Hallock Library this week come in for story time on Tuesday, February 28, at 11:00 a.m.  

 

This week at the Red Lake Falls Library our Winter Reading Program ends on Wednesday, February 29. Adults can sign up for prizes. On Thursday, March 1, at 6:30 p.m. the book club will be discussing The Walk  and Miles to Go, by Richard Paul Evans. Bring the kids in for story time on Friday, March 2, at 10:30 a.m.   

 

Bring the kids to the Roseau Library on Tuesday, February 28, for story time at 10:30 a.m. On Thursday, March 1, at 5:00 p.m. come in for Movie Night.  

 

This week at the Thief River Falls Library on Monday, February 27, at 6:30 Heidi Hughes from the Audubon Society will be in the library talking about bluebirds and how to attract them to your backyard. On Tuesday, February 28, at 2:00 p.m. the afternoon book club will be discussing The Dress Maker of Khair Khana, by Gayle Tzemach Lemmon. It should be a wonderful discussion and newcomers are always welcome! At 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the teens will be doing some origami. Also on Tuesday, the FRED program will be will be celebrating a month of reading with a wrap-up pizza party at Challenger Elementary School (sponsored by TRF Friends of the Library). Bring the family in for a family movie on Saturday, March 3, at 2:00 p.m.
 
It's Family Time with Board Games, on Monday, February 27 at 6:30 p.m.Anyone up for Yatzee, UNO Attack or even old Maid?   Come to the Warren-Godel Library. We have a variety of games, for all ages, you can choose from.We also have Wifi, so you can bring your internet games to play as well.Feel free to bring your favorite, age appropriate game, to play with friends...Sorry only in door games, no footballs or basketballs please. Bring the kids in for story time on Friday, March 2, at 11:00 a.m. We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday for a few favorite books.
