Happening This Week

The Northwest Regional Libraries will be closing at noon on Saturday, December 24.  The Greenbush and Roseau Libraries will be closed all day.  


It's COOKIE TIME! The Greenbush Public Library is inviting kids of all ages to stop by after school on Wednesday, December 21, from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. to decorate cookies for Christmas! Donations of sugar cookies for this event are welcome, contact Angie at the Greenbush Public Library. The Greenbush Library will be CLOSED on Saturday, December 24.  

 

In the Hallock Library this week come in for a Christmas Party story time on Tuesday, December 20 at 11:00 a.m.! There will be stories and games! 

   

Come to the Red Lake Falls Library on Wednesday, December 21, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. we will be having a holiday movie marathon. There will be popcorn and cider! Bring in the little ones for story time on Friday, December 23, at 10:30 a.m. for story time. 

 

Join the Roseau Library on Tuesday, December 20, at 10:30 a.m. for story time. Bring in the family for a special Family movie showing on Thursday, December 22, at 5:00 p.m. The Roseau Library will be CLOSED on Saturday, December 24.  

 

Tuesday, December 20, will be a busy day at the Thief River Falls Library!  Morning Story Time at 9:30 a.m. will be all about Christmas trees!  We will read about Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree then decorate trees to take home.  At 2:00 p.m., the Afternoon Book Club will meet to discuss The Christmas Train by David Baldacci, with everyone bringing a plate of Christmas cookies to share.  At 3:30 p.m, the teens will be finishing their snow man projects and watching a holiday movie. On Thursday, December 22, please join us for our Evening Story Time at 6:45 p.m., we will be reading Where is Christmas Jesse Bear? 

 

Come to the Warren-Godel Library on Monday, December 19, at 6:30 p.m. with two dozen samples of your favorite holiday treat for the Holiday Treat Cook-Off! Join us on Tuesday, December 20, for Toddler Time at 2:00 p.m. This week we will be decorating Christmas Cookies! The Elementary Book Club completed their first book and are on the their second. The next book, continuing in the movie tie theme, is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. If you would like to join, stop in or call the library to reserve your book. We will be kicking off Christmas break with Book Bingo on Thursday, December 22, at 2:00 p.m.!  

 

Come to the Warroad Library for Story Time on Friday, December 23, at 10:30 a.m.

Holiday Treat Cook-Off

One of the best things about the Christmas Season is all the wonderfully fabulous, sinfully delicious (and of course no calories) treats that seem to be everywhere!

On Monday, December 19, at 6:30 p.m.
bring your favorite Christmas Treat to Godel Library for the Holiday Treat Bake Off!

Whether you like to decorate cookies, dip pretzels, make fruit cake or melt in your mouth fudge! Make enough for two dozen samples.

Don't bake? Don't worry! Come and enjoy delicious treats and vote for you favorite!

Everyone gets to taste and vote for their favorite. The winner will be announced at 7:30 p.m. and receive a special holiday treat bag. Apple cider and hot chocolate will be served to enjoy with your treats.
