Happening This Week

 

In the Hallock Library this week join Peggy for a "Stone Sculpture" story hour on Tuesday, August 23, at 11:00 a.m. On Saturday, August 27, at 11:00 a.m. for the Saturday Morning Movie.   

 

Come to the Red Lake Falls Library on Thursday, August 25, at 6:30 p.m. for "Coffee and Crafts" and make corn-husk dolls. Story time is Friday, August 26, at 10:30 a.m.  

 

Story time at the Roseau Library is Tuesday, August 23, at 10:30 a.m. On Thursday, August 25, at 5:00 p.m. for Family Night. We will be on the patio, weather permitting.  

 

On Tuesday, August 23, at 2:00 p.m., the Thief River Falls Library Afternoon Book Club will discussThe Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein.  Everyone is welcome, treats will be provided. The Teen Book Club will meet Wednesday, August 24, at 3:00 p.m. Join Ashia for a snacks and a great discussion of

Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie by Jordan Sonnenblick. Do you play chess?  The chess set sitting out at the Thief River Falls Library has been very popular this month among young and old.  Stop in for a game if you haven't yet.

 

Come to the Warren Library tonight for a performance by the W's at 7:00 p.m. on the Library lawn. In case of bad weather the event will be held in the library. Come in on Wednesday, August 24, for Craft Day! We will be making Hawaiian Leis. The "Classical Book Club" will begin reading The Phantom of the Opera  on Thursday, August 25, at 6:30 p.m. The final get together of the Teen Book club is Tuesday, August 30.

Summer Reading Program Wrap-up 

Thief River Falls Library

The Thief River Falls Library had their Summer Reading Program Wrap-up Party on Wednesday, August 17, at 3:00 p.m. Forty-Five children and adults came in to enjoy  stories, crafts, and snacks. And of course, kids turned in their reading logs for prizes.

Dessert Cook-Off 

Warren Library 

The Warren-Godel Library has had a ton of fun doing cook-offs. What started off as a Chili Cook-Off, has blossomed into an fun monthly culinary contest! This month come to the Warren Library with your favorite dessert on Monday, August 29, at 6:30 p.m. Be sure to bring enough dessert for two dozen tasters! Come, join the fun and enjoy yummy desserts!
