E-Reader Demo

Thief River Falls Library

In June, Northwest Regional libraries unveiled our virtual library. This library consists of e-books and e-audio books. Do you want to access the free e-books available from the library?  Have you been thinking about getting an E-reader and are just overwhelmed by all of the choices that are available on the market today?

On Monday, July 26, at 6:30 p.m. the Thief River Falls Library will be having an E-Reader demonstration presented by the staff from Best Buy in Grand Forks. They will have a variety of e-readers with them and will explain how each works and the pros and cons of each. There will also be a chance to try a variety of readers and ask all those questions you may have!

Exploring Japan Through Origami

Red Lake Falls Library

A small group of  Red Lake Falls Library patrons enjoyed the Summer Reading Program event focusing on Japan on Wednesday, July 20, at 3:00 p.m.

Paperfolding was the activity of the day, with kids making frogs that jump, dogs that bark and birds that flap their wings. Books
on Japan were available to check out, and an authentic Japanese doll in traditional kimono was on display for the kids to enjoy.
