New Revenue This Fiscal Year!

$44 for JA

Donate $44 (or any multiple of) to give one student the gift of financial literacy!

JA of the Central Carolinas has been in existence for over 50 years, but never has our programming been as relevant and needed as it is today!  We need your financial support to continue to help the next generation generate wealth, create jobs and successfully compete in a global economy.  A child's success depends upon what we teach them today and your donation can make all the difference!  Click here to donate.

 4 Hours Volunteer

Donate 4 hours of your time to volunteering with Junior Achievement!

Junior Achievement is committed to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy.  Key to JA achieving our goal are the volunteers who donate their time!  Click here for a list of volunteer opportunities.

THANK YOU WEYERHAEUSER COMPANY FOUNDATION!

Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation

Thank you very much to Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation for providing a grant to support 200 students with Junior Achievement programming.  This generous grant will help prepare tomorrow's workforce with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills necessary to compete in a global economy.

JA BizTown kids

Students in JA BizTown learn STEM skills through a working research laboratory, the utilities company, and virtual veterinarian software in the Pet Shop;  as well as balancing their own checkbooks, calculating business costs and paying off their business loans from the bank.

Thank you, Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation!

THANK YOU JA BOWL-A-THON PARTICIPANTS!

Thank you to these companies and individuals who raised over $25,800 through their

Bowl-A-Thon fundraiser to support local JA students!

THANK YOU JA IN A DAY VOLUNTEERS!

THANK YOU GE VOLUNTEERS!

GE

Thank you to Karen Doepker and volunteers from GE for coordinating and participating in a JA in a Day at Reid Park Elementary and impacting 140 deserving second and third grade students!  According to Reid Park Elementary site coordinator, Sony Anderson, "As usual JA in a Day was a success. Several teachers commented that volunteers worked hard with students, lessons were engaging and well developed....We are thankful that you considered coming back this year."

GE Money

The JA in a Day program places volunteers in elementary school classrooms to teach the entire JA curriculum in an exciting one-day event. When companies or groups of volunteers all go to the same school, they can bring their experience to hundreds of students in one location. This event provides a great teambuilding experience and a chance for volunteers to give back to the community - all in a three hour time commitment.

For more information about involving your company with the JA in a Day program please contact Amy Korb at akorb@jacarolinas.org.
