January was quite an interesting and busy month. When we did have school, thank you snow, we had a lot going on! 

The Kindergarten group worked on Arctic Animals, character building and started discussing author Jan Brett. We will be sending all of our fun crafts and activities home at the end of the month.

We had a great Martin Luther King Jr. sign-up day on the 17^th. Thank you so much to Frenchtown for hosting us. We had a lot of fun as we played games, did crafts, ate yummy snacks and enjoyed our time with friends.

Kindergarten group will be working on shapes and math. After school children will continue roller skating and on Thursdays, Miss Denise will work on preventing bullying and how to have a bully-free environment.

Due to the many school cancellations, the Trumbull Board of Education has voted to use 4 days of February vacation to make up days lost.  School will be in session Tuesday, February 22nd - Friday, February 25th.

Fall Registration 2011-2012 

Fall Registration for school year  2011-12 will be available March 1st for all current TLC families only. Very Important: You must get your Fall Registration form submitted prior to March 16th to receive priority for next year's TLC enrollment. All forms must be filled out completely. Incomplete registration forms will delay your placement in our program. Registration forms are available at all TLC centers or at the TLC office. Forms will be available online March 16th.

TLC is growing everyday, and we are in need of current parents or Trumbull residents who truly see the need for TLC to continue developing its mission of providing quality childcare to Trumbull's working parents.

Have you been thinking of taking a more active role in your community?  Here is your opportunity. TLC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, and all parents are welcome to become involved in the program by becoming members of the Board.  Parent representation and input are vital to TLC's continued success.  It's a great way to help shape the future of the program and share in managing TLC's growth.

The Board of Directors meets once a month at 6:30 pm, at our Fun Zone Center, located behind Daniels Farm Elementary School, at 720 Daniels Farm Road.

April Recess is currently the 18th - 21st. TLC will offer 5 Sign-Up Days. In the event that there are additional snow days April Recess dates are subject to change.
