Merry Christmas from Sew With Jo

This is the time of year that I often get overwhelmed with the decorating, baking, shopping, and everything that I need to get done before Christmas Day. It's also a time when my budget is stretched to the max.
For my family room where we set up our Christmas tree, I needed new window treatments to warm up the room up. Every year I put the Christmas swags on the windows, but it always felt so cold. So, I put red sheer curtains under the swags. These curtains are easy to make even in the short amount of time right now. To learn more about how to make simple curtains, click on the link:

Or, if you just don't have the time to make the curtains, you can find curtains on sale at Boscov's On-Line Departrment Store:
Boscov's Department Store - Great values and famous brands!
Even at this late date, you should still have them in time.
I also didn't want to pay a lot for the curtain rods. My windows are 75 inches wide which meant I would have had to buy larger and longer rods. It would have been an expensive proposition. So, I went to our local hardware store and bought 5 half-inch PVC conduit pipes at $1.49 each. I cut them to size and put the curtains on the pipes. You can't see the pipe because they're covered by the swags. Simple, inexpensive, timely.
Have a wonderful holiday season, and I wish you the best in the New Year.
Sincerely,
Jo Ann
