FEBRUARY, 2011 ASP NEWSLETTER
We are saddened to inform the ASP Community of the passing of Doug Grayson, the son of Dr. Henry Grayson on December 10, 2010.
Henry Grayson was the founding President of the Association For Spirituality and Psychotherapy, Inc., (ASP) and the founding Chairman of The National Institute for the Psychotherapies Training Institute (NIPTI). Dr. Grayson served as Chairman of the NIP Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees for many years, and continues to serve on the NIP Board.
In 1997, Dr. Grayson established the Center for Spirituality & Psychotherapy (CSP) where he produced three groundbreaking conferences on this important emerging subject. In 2001 Dr. Grayson, along with a few other interested mental health professionals created ASP as a non-profit membership association.
Since numerous people have inquired as to whether there is a place to make a memorial contribution, a fund has been created at ASP in memory of Doug Grayson.
Through ASP the Fund will support the advancement of spirituality and psychotherapy. Proceeds of the fund will support teaching mental health professionals and laypersons the importance of integrating these two important systems of thought, benefiting our clients as well as ourselves. ASP accomplishes this through lectures, classes, conferences and workshops.
Gifts to the Fund may be made in two ways:
