Dear Friend,
The July Y Gen Entrepreneur is Kelly Olin.
Kelly is a certified career coach and trainer who founded Next Stop Career, a professional development company with the mission to help Gen Y identify and achieve the careers of their dreams. Even as a little girl in suburban Detroit, Kelly dreamed of helping others reach their full potential. This desire has led to a diverse resume, including missionary in Africa, college recruiting manager for Fortune 500 companies, and owner of a Mary Kay Cosmetics franchise, where she was awarded "Rookie of the Year."
But over the past few years, Kelly noticed how her Gen Y peers, particularly college students, were blindly choosing majors, graduating with no direction, and basically wasting away on their parents' couch, clueless as to the fundamental skills needed to obtain a worthwhile career. That's when she started Next Stop Career.
